Funding & Project Feasibility

Assisting organisations with Football Foundation & other funding applications

Logistique has a track record of delivering services and facilities across a broad spectrum of government and public sector agendas. Logistique advises on comprehensive management and funding solutions for clients in both the public and private sector.

Logistique have worked on a number of sports led funding projects with local authorities, clubs, schools, colleges and universities. Through these projects Logistique have helped secure over £25m of external investment in the projects outlined in the portfolio section of the website.

Logistique has successfully managed a number of diverse clients funding applications to various bodies such as The Football Foundation, The Rugby Football Union, The ECB, Sport England, National Sports Foundation, WREN, BIFFA, UK Sport, Barclays Spaces for Sport, Local Network Fund, Awards for All, Sportsmatch, European Funding and Active England.

This has involved the facilitation of over ten capital projects all spread across England. In particular Logistique have helped Gosforth Fields Sports Association, a Charity comprising of two football clubs and a rugby club based in Sheffield secure over £1.4m worth of external funding with partnership funding coming from section 106 funding on the project site. Additionally Logistique have helped South Manchester Sports Club secure over £1.1m worth of funding through the Football Foundation and Sport England along with £1.4m on behalf of East Lindsey District Council for the Wainfleet Road sports project which also involved the formation of a Sports Association.

Further work has involved assisting Premier Football Coaching secure revenue funding to help sustain and grow their football and administrational structures. This involved the production of funding applications to Awards for All and the Football Foundation combined with the writing of development plans to help realise £20,000 of funding to target the development of boys, girls and disability football. Other work has seen over £30,000 secured for Hull Rugby Union Football Club for the employment of two Youth Rugby Development Officers through Sportsmatch.

On behalf of Leigh Excellence Cluster Logistique devised and developed a Heritage Lottery grant. The funding was used to develop a history project focusing on Leigh and its heritage. The funding contributed towards £100,000 of activity and programmes.

On behalf of Nafferton Feoffees, Logistique have undertaken a number of funding applications and governance modeling for the Nafferton Under Fives nursery. Nafferton Feoffees Trust and Nafferton Under Fives along with project partners have identified a site and aspire to a new purpose use nursery to be located on the site of Nafferton Primary School.

Logistique are also in the process of coordinating a portfolio of funding projects on behalf of Staffordshire and Moorlands District Council. The main scheme being delivered in partnership with Leek Town and Leek CSOB focussed on the re-development of the existing facilities and the development of new provision with an anticipated total project cost of around £2m.

We have also co-ordinated the £2.6m Creasey Park community football project on behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council which involved a range of partners including a district council, town council, local school, football clubs, a BMX club and an athletics club.

Logistique have completed work on the Kendal Sports Village Feasibility Study on behalf of the Kendal Sports Village steering group partners. The steering group included South Lakeland District Council, Kendal College, Cumbria Vision and Cumbria Sports Partnership. The objective of the study was to assess the feasibility of creating a multi-sport hub facility in the town.

The study identified a suitable site for the proposed development and engaged in a consultation process with a wide variety of stakeholders to help determine the facility mix. The sports village will contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the town and will be a modern facility which is a focal point for community inclusion and sporting excellence, and will incorporate a range of outdoor and indoor facilities to meet local need.

Through this work Logistique combine both their knowledge of funding with their previous extensive experience of writing development and business plans all with the aim of helping applicants ensure sustainability of their projects.

Logistique recognise through this work that whilst there can be a common approach to management options appraisals and sport and recreation services, different areas face different challenges therefore management solutions need to be appropriate to overcome each unique set of challenges.

The skills and experience of Logistique staff are equally adept at accessing grant aid for both large and small schemes.
