Funding

Assisting organisations with Football Foundation & other funding applications

In the past twelve months, Logistique have worked on a number of football-led funding projects with local authorities, clubs and schools. Through these projects Logistique have helped secure £2.2m of external investment in the projects outlined in the portfolio section of the website. The consultants have also assisted a number of rugby clubs with external investment into both capital and revenue programmes.

Logistique's principal consultants have a proven track record of assisting clubs and organisations with football-specific applications. They have successfully managed Manchester FA's facility strategy that has seen external investment of over £11m go into new and improved football-led sites.

They also facilitated the award of over £2m of revenue funding which has either been attached to a capital project or has been a stand-alone bid for officer or programme development.

Proven success has also been demonstrated in accessing other smaller grants from bodies such as Awards for All, Football Foundation, Housing Corporation, Barclays Spaces for Sport, Local Network Fund, Local Authority (Greater Manchester specific), European funding and Active England monies.

The consultants have extensive experience of writing development and business plans in order to help applicants ensure sustainability of their project. Logistique use their skills and experience in order to work with both large and small schemes to assist clients in accessing grant aid.

Project Co-ordination

Sports Village & Olympic Parks

Logistique utilise their project co-ordination skills as demonstrated by the successful completion of the £4.7m Salford Sports Village to work with other such projects. This project was managed (until the construction phase) by the principal consultants.

In addition to accessing the capital funding from eight different funding agencies, the consultants accessed an additional revenue grant of over £250,000 and have been involved in the scheme from the embryonic design stage through to the official opening held in March 2006.

The Sports Village project has received national recognition and has recently been visited by the Minister for Sport, Richard Caborn, the FA Chief Executive, Brian Barwick and Sir Trevor Brooking.

Most recently Logistique have been commissioned to undertake the Project Management of the Heywood Sports, Culture & Leisure Village which offers exciting opportunities for regeneration through sport in a New Deal for Communities area in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.

Event Management

Assisting organisations with special events

Last year Logistique event managed the inaugural FA Football Fives tournament which involved the organisation of nine regional events with the final culminating at Wembley Stadium.

In the past twelve months, we have produced an Event Disability Strategy on behalf of the FA. Additionally Logistique have produced detailed business plans for the 2010 World Blind Championships and the 2011 Cebral Palsy World Championships which have managed to secure £210,000 of external grant funding.

In December 2006 Logistique successfully event managed the latest series of the Partially Sighted Quad Nations Tournament, and this year we will be event managing what will be the largest disability football tournament ever to be held in England the European Learning Difficulties Championships. This comes on the back of our event management of the largest ever disability football event to be staged in the UK - the Partially Sighted World Championships.

The consultants also have extensive event management experience, having worked on the Commonwealth Games, 2003 Champions League Final and smaller disability football events such as European Blind Championships and Partially Sighted Quad Nations events.
